Our Services

The services listed here represent a core overview of what DIG offers. Every project is unique, and we’re happy to tailor our support to meet the specific needs of each client.

Architecture Firms & Designers

Design Development:

At the schematic and DD phases, sheet metal contractors are rarely involved. Yet this is

when decisions about rainscreen systems, panel layout, and cladding types start

shaping expectations and budgets. DIG works with the design team to:

- Evaluate system options aligned with budget, performance, and aesthetics

- Notes red-flag specs or cost drivers (e.g., custom colors with minimum runs, conflicting

or inadequate specs, insufficient substrate, etc.)

- Prevent value engineering fallout before it begins

- Evaluates material limitations and the appropriate use of the systems

- Deliver trade-off matrices to help designers make informed calls

CDs:

This is when details must carry weight. DIG reviews or helps develop:

- Attachment methods, transitions, substrate requirements, and complex intersections of

multiple systems, penetrations detailing for sheet metal flashing and façade systems

- Compatibility across WP systems, adjacent materials, and sequencing of install

- Custom flashing profiles that align with aesthetics, constructability, and performance

Value Delivered: Avoid RFIs, scope gaps, and incomplete detailing that leads to CORs.

The earlier we’re involved, the fewer surprises downstream.

Pre-Con & Bidding:

- Review submittals, VE options, substitutions from an unbiased lens

- Spot risks buried in “savings” proposals

- Offer client-protective “second opinions” grounded in field logic

Construction & Closeout:

- Provide fast, experienced input on installation issues, trade damage, sequencing

setbacks

- Help evaluate closeout submittals and punch list items with impartial clarity

General Contractors & Builders

Scope Clarification & Trade Coordination:

DIG helps draft scope delineation graphics showing what trade should own what -

flashing, caulking, glazing, etc. Color-coded details remove ambiguity and prevent trade

stacking issues, as well as clear understanding of liability and own warranty extents.

Second Opinions on Design Decisions:

- Is this buildable under current sequencing?

- Is it worth the cost?

- What's the least disruptive solution?

Change Order Review:

We assess if CORs reflect true effort, time, and materials-or if there's room to push back

with alternatives.

Owners & Developers

Is what you're paying for really what you're getting?

- Independent review of proposed façade systems, mockups, materials, and overall WP and sheet metal composition

- Cost-conscious yet design-intent-respecting alternatives

- COR and VE assessments free of contractor or vendor bias

Peace of Mind in Your Investment:

- Know whether the 'value engineering' is actually valuable

- Avoid corner-cutting that leads to future litigation or repair
